- Setting up your mix downs is a really important part to…keeping your workflow efficient…and all of your different tracks…and everything else that you have in your project…easy to find and it just makes the whole process…less painful.…I want to talk about organizing your mix sound…and discuss how I go about doing that.…It's pretty straightforward, common sense type stuff…but if never hurts to just cover these things…and make sure that you're working at your most efficient…all the time or as much as possible.…
So I like to separate my subgroups into…categories of like-minded frequencies.…And so, if I have all, say, low frequency stuff,…that kind of goes in either my bass…or my drums and it's pretty standard…that if I have something that's a bass-y thing…I'm gonna put it in my bass group…or if I have, like, drums it's going to go in my drums group…or kick in my kick group.…You get the idea.…And then instruments basically is all my instruments…that are not either bass instruments or vocals or drums.…And this is good because it makes it really easy to…
