- [Instructor] Within a complicated device chain, there are often multiple devices with dozens of parameters. But often you'll want to tweak just one or two of those controls. Locating them can be a pain, so let's take a look at how frequently accessed parameters can be mapped to a live macro for easy access. So let's open up exercise five from chapter 13, and let's take a look at this first track here, the impulse track. So on this one, I've got a single virtual instrument. But I want to point out that, each one of these pads has a set of all of these parameters that I'm circling with my mouse, and that it can get quite complicated finding the parameter that you want to adjust. And as I click another pad, I get another set of these. So, often I want to just get at the volume for each one of these pads so that I can balance the overall sound of the output of this virtual instrument, but I've got to do this by clicking on each pad and finding its volume knob.
