- [Instructor] If you haven't been paying close attention, you might have missed the announcement that Cycling '74, the company that developed Max, was purchased by Ableton. With Live 10, we're starting to see the results of that purchase. First, Max is now integrated into Live Suite. That means you no longer need to install Max on your computer to use Max for Live devices. Also, Max loads when you start Live, so you no longer need to wait for Max to start when you load a Max plugin. Now, several Max plugins that are included with purchases or upgrades of Live Suite have been upgraded, and the updated Max plugins now look and feel like Ableton plugins. And if we look down here in Device View, the LFO MIDI is an example of how the older Max for Live devices look. And the Envelope, Drums and Kick, LFO, and Shaper plugins are examples of the updated plugins. And those plugins are optimized. They're easier on the CPU. Now, unfortunately, Max is still not included with Live Intro or Live…
