- [Voiceover] Hi, my name's J. Scott G, and welcome to EDM Production Techniques: Extreme Sound Mangling. (electronic music) I designed this course because I not only love weird and twisted electronic music, but I wanted to help inspire producers to challenge themselves to not get sucked into the increasingly homogenized sound of modern EDM. You've got to ask yourself, do you want to be formulaic or do you want to be a pioneer? In this course, I'm going to show you ways to create and tweak sounds using a combination of vocoders, phasers, flangers, and chorus effects, reverb and delay, EQ and filters, distortion, time stretching, glitches, and granular synthesis.
Each example is specifically designed to give you new ideas by demonstrating methods that will help you add texture, sheen, and movement to your productions. And I hope to plant seeds in your mind and give you some new tools to create sounds you might not have thought of before. So if you're ready for some inspiration to take your productions above and beyond, then get ready for Extreme Sound Mangling.
