Creating stories
- [Instructor] In QuickSight, a story is a preserved iteration of analysis views that you can play in sequence to tell a narrative about your data. The captured iteration is called a scene. A scene preserves the visuals in the analysis at the time you create it, including the filtering and sort order. You do not need to capture the data in the visuals part of the scene, but when you play the story, the visuals will reflect the current data in the dataset. To set up a story in QuickSight, we first select the story option from the functionality or tool list on the left side of the screen. This opens the story pane. We want to create a new story. We can change the text in this box to Southern CA, and when you hit enter, we see the name update. Now we're going to select Santa Barbara in our controls by deselecting all the location options so now we see empty visuals and we type in Santa Barbara. So we now…
