Get started with Entity Framework 6.1.3, including unit testing, CRUD operations, and code first from an existing database.
- [Phil] Hello, welcome, good morning, good afternoon, good evening, depending on what time it is that you are watching this course. My name is Phil Japikse and this is an introduction to Entity Framework 6.1.3. I am a Microsoft MVP. I've been working with SQL Server and Entity Framework since the beginning of both those technologies. And what I wanted to do is give you a nice lap around the latest version that works on the full .NET Framework, which is 6.1. What we're going to cover today, Object-Relational Mapper concepts and goals, just a level set to make sure that you are familiar with ORMs.
Entity Framework, itself, its components and capabilities. Configuring entities, creating a code-first model from an existing database, and then we'll go into basic CRUD operations, that is create, read, update, and delete, using Entity Framework. And we'll spend some time on concurrency, as well. So I hope you enjoy the course.
