The importance of shadows

- [Instructor] So one last thing I wanted to show you before we can wrap this lighting portion up, and you can do your final render so that we can do some post production on it, is about this light setup that you do, and the importance of having contrast and shadows. Usually when you're setting an interior scene, you're going to have a hard time lighting everything up to make it look like it's well lit, so this is very hard to achieve. Even if you're doing daytime or nighttime, you're going to have a little trouble to make all of the light bounce inside your room, so usually what people do, which is not advised, is they would just create a fill light like the interior scene was a studio render with three-point lighting, and they would just create a light in the opposite direction to help the scene being lit, but when you're working with interiors, that's not realistic, and people tend to identify that there's something off…
