and experimental animation applications, sometimes it's helpful to drive parameters with an audio signal. In this demo, we'll look at how to add audio to the 3ds Max timeline for synchronization; for example, for character lip sync. And we'll also look how to drive parameters with an audio file. I'm going to the Modify panel just to show you that we're going to be animating one of these parameters. It's here under Axis Scaling. It's the Q Scale; and as I increase that you see we get the star pattern here. All right, let's set that back to its default of 100. Before adding audio to our scene, let's increase the number of frames in the time configuration. Click on Time Configuration down here, and I'm going to set the animation end time to 5,400 frames because my audio is about three minutes long. I'm using the default frame rate of NTSC, which is 30 frames per second; and just to warn you if you're doing a long take, that's longer than 30 seconds, then your audio will not be in sync if…
