- [Instructor] For our third and final wire parameters…example, we're going to create an automated setup…that deals with cogs or gears that not only have teeth…that need to mesh together but that are also…of differing sizes and have different numbers of teeth…that need to be meshed.…Now sometimes when we see tutorials that deal…with meshing gears, the line of least resistance…is taken in that meshing is made easier by ensuring…that, although the objects themselves may be…of different sizes, they do all have the same number…of teeth which obviously is not the case here,…meaning we get to explore how to solve this problem…whilst working with the wire parameter tools.…
First of all then, let's figure out which axes…we will be using for each of the pieces…by selecting the Rotate tool, and then switching…the reference coordinate system over to gimbal mode.…As we select through the various cogs now,…we can see that they are, in fact, all needing to be rotated…around the zed or z-axes, which, of course,…makes things nice and easy for us…
