Get up and running with RealFlow, the motion picture industry's standard tool for liquid simulations.
- [Voiceover] Welcome to Up and Running with RealFlow. I'm Aaron F. Ross. RealFlow is the industry standard application for fluid simulations. In this introductory course, we explore the primary features of RealFlow's various simulation engines. Standard particles lend themselves to small-scall effects, such as this simple bathroom sink animation. For large-scale liquids that need to flow freely, the Hybrido Solver is the best choice. Open bodies of water such as oceans and ponds are simulated with the RealWave Solver.
RealFlow also includes a rigid and soft-body physics engine called Caronte, allowing objects to be affected by fluids. RealFlow integrates seamlessly with several major 3D applications. And in this course we employ 3ds Max and Maya for modeling, animation, and rendering functions. Let's make a splash or two in Up and Running with RealFlow.

You'll learn how to create small-scale effects with standard particles, create free-flowing water effects with the Hybrido solver, and simulate open bodies of water such as oceans and ponds with RealWave. Author Aaron F. Ross also shows how to control interactions between objects and fluids with Caronte, the rigid- and soft-body physics engine included with RealFlow.
