Using elements for image manipulation
- [Instructor] With our basic elements comped back together again in After Effects, we may at this point be wondering what the benefits of this particular workflow are, seeing as all we have really done is a ton of extra work to basically get what V-Ray had already given us out of 3ds Max. Well the difference is seen in what it is that we can do with our image now, and performing extra, and time consuming renders. Indeed, if we come to the beauty render here, we can put that into its own composition called 'beauty,' and then dive into that. Now, because we rendered two 16-bit files, we can actually do quite a bit to our beauty image using the effects at our disposal. So we could add some curves or levels to add a little more punch or contrast to the image. We could add tint and bloom effects, using exposure and blues to create the latter, and we could go on. What we can't really do here though, is alter the fundamental components of the image. So we can't really change the intensity…
