Tracing an image plane
- [Voiceover] Now let's trace over this image plane to create the walls of our loft apartment. What we want in the end is to have solid walls, and we could break this up in different ways if we wanted. We could have these interior walls to be a separate object if that were our choice. I'm actually going to choose to make it all one giant object. Additionally, I want it to be solid, so that then I can go in and cut holes for the windows and the doors here. We'll be using a tool called Boolean to do that. Well, Boolean has some real strict requirements, so we're gonna have to do some editing to the model in order to get it prepped for a Boolean operation. But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. We first wanna go ahead and trace this over, and we can actually just create some rectangles here and then attach them to one another, because this is such a simple floor plan. All right, let's go to the Create panel, and then under Shapes we wanna create rectangles, but we also wanna make sure…
