Set up the Arnold renderer
- [Instructor] The second offline renderer that we are going to discuss is Arnold renderer. Arnold is a very powerful renderer and we're going to see that in a minute. If you have been using the Mental Ray renderer in past, that has been replaced with Arnold since 3DS Max 2018. Now, one of the benefits of Arnold is that it's been the integrated part of 3D Studio Max, and it is very powerful. So you don't need to go for third-party plugins. Instead, you can just simply use Arnold. Now, there is another reason I have chosen Arnold for demonstration is that the Arnold is fairly a very simple renderer to use. Now, let's just quickly jump into setting up Arnold and see how simple Arnold is. I'm going to bring my Render Setup dialog box by pressing F10, and to set up your renderer as Arnold, you can just simply click on the dropdown, the Render dropdown, and choose Arnold.
