…Although we have so…far in our displacement exercise managed to create a render time…displacement effect, the truth is that things are still looking a little rough.…And so we want, in this video, to show how we can make use of…Mental Ray's Displacement controls in order to tweak and…refine the displacement that we are seeing.…These controls can be found in the Render Setup dialogue.…So let's hit the F10 key to open that up.…And then in the Render tab, make certain that we are in the Shadows and…Displacement rollout.…These Global Displacement Options are not, as you can see, particularly extensive.…Don't let that fool you though as they do give us quite a high level of…control over the final displacement look.…The three options that we are interested in working with here are Edge length,…Max Displace and Max Subdiv.…With the View option checked,…our Edge Length values are being set in terms of pixels.…If, however, I can uncheck this option,…we make the switch over to using Scene Unit measurements instead.…
