Parametric modeling in the Modifier Stack
- [Instructor] The modifier stack is a powerful method for building up procedural or parametric models from building blocks, starting from primitives and adding so called modifiers in order to change the shape or have various effects. We'll use that to build a propeller for our little toy drone in this example. So let's start by creating a ChamferBox, and that's a box that has rounded corners, or fileted or chamfered edges, and it's found in the create panel, in the geometry category, in the pull down list, instead of standard primitives we want to choose extended primitives. And now we see ChamferBox. Select that, and click and drag in the perspective view. Hold down the mouse to define the footprint of that ChamferBox, release the mouse, and then move the cursor upward to define the height of the ChamferBox.
