Join Aaron F. Ross for an in-depth discussion in this video Goodbye, part of Advanced 3ds Max and Maya Integration.
- In this course we've explored techniques…for preparing and translating scenes…between Max and Maya.…One can't help but notice the limitations…imposed by workflows that require us…to bake textures in animation.…These limitations are inevitable…due to the vastly different architectures…of the two programs.…We'll never be able to get Max…to understand the Maya construction history,…or Maya to understand 3ds Max modifiers.…But I'm confident that the translation…software itself will continue…to improve inefficiency and feature sets.…
Alembic is an open standard,…and we should keep our eyes on how it evolves.…Thanks for watching,…and I hope I've helped you integrate…Maya and 3ds Max in your own CG-pipeline.…Goodbye.…
