Extruding along a path with the Sweep modifier

- [Instructor] Another very common tool for spline modeling is the sweep modifier which will allow us to easily extrude along a path. I want to create a wall ornament for my building, and I'm going to use this diamond shape or rectangle as the path. And we can either extrude a basic shape such as a circle or a rectangle around that path. Or we can use a custom profile. And that's what I've got here. I've got a custom profile to be extruded along this path. So let's add a sweep modifier. I'll select the rectangle, go to the Modify panel, and from the modifier list, scroll down and add a sweep modifier. And by default we're going to get a built in section or profile and we've got a bar. And there are parameters we can adjust. So if we scroll down here a little bit, we'll see under parameters we've got length and width and we can adjust those to get different shapes to the profile curve which is being extruded down that path.…
