- [Instructor] Although we've already taken a look at the V-Ray Dirt map in this course one thing we didn't do with it was to show how it is oftentimes used by artists in conjunction with the render element that we'll look at here. Which is the extra text element. This being an element that renders our entire scene with This could be a bitmap or it can be a procedural texture like V-Ray Dirt. Let's take a look at how we can quickly go about using this then by opening up the render setup dialog, and then in the render elements tab, adding a V-Ray extra text element. The controls for this are pretty straightforward, but of course initially the one one that we are most interested in is going to be the texture slot, which currently says no map. Clicking on the button as we might expect, opens up 3DS Max materials browser and so lets right away add a V-Ray Dirt map to the mix. And then take a render.
