Editing keyframes in the Dope Sheet

- In traditional hand drawn or stop motion animation the term Dope Sheet refers to a document that records various types of information according to the frame number of the animation. It's also known as an Exposure sheet or X-Sheet because one type of information it records is camera settings. The Dope Sheet also records things like lip synchronization information so that animators can match the timing of pre-recorded dialog. The Dope Sheet concept translates well into the computer animation domain. Here, it's an editable spreadsheet that plots all keyframe data according to frame number and allows us to manipulate keyframes hierarchically. I've got keyframes on the camera, so I'll select that and open up the Dope Sheet from the Graph Editor's menu. Choose Track View, Dope Sheet. And we can see that it is again a time line running left to right and we've also got some keyframes visible. On the left is a panel that lists all of the available tracks or channels of data.
