- [Instructor] One nice speed improvement that was received back in V-Ray next was the ability to add V-Ray assets to a scene by means of a simple drag and drop process which made adding certain elements to the scene. As easy as moving files around in the windows environment with the file types supported, including dot VR mesh dot ABC dot VR scene and dot IES files. Meaning there are quite a range of assets that can be very quickly added to any scene that we like . When starting with a brand new scene in max we don't even have to set V-Ray as the production renderer because even with the Arnold engine setup I can just perform a dragon drop operation. And max will ask if we want V-Ray to be set as the production renderer so that this drag and drop action can be performed. As soon as I say yes the asset is dropped into the scene for us.
