- [Instructor] Having already seen how we can create a depth of field effect using the V-Ray physical camera controls, let's take a look in this exercise at how we could create that same effect when rendering from a 3ds Max Perspective Viewport. In fact, the workflow that we will look at here would also be applicable should we be rendering with V-Ray whilst using 3ds Max's older non-physical camera as well. To create our depth of field effect then, let's open up the Render Setup dialog and from the bottom of the V-Ray tab open up the Camera rollout with the very last section here being the Depth of Field controls. Let's turn that on by putting a check in the box and then set things up so that we know how much depth of field we will be getting in the render and, of course, decide just where our point of focus is going to be.
