Creating shapes and splines

- [Instructor] So far, we've looked at polygon modeling, starting from 3D primitives, and polygon mesh is an object that's built out of faces that are flat surfaces, which have an area and an orientation. Now let's look at curve-based modeling with spline primitives, a spline is a fancy word for a line or a vector that has a direction and a length. And we can use splines or curves to construct polygon models. In the create panel, we have a bunch of categories for objects, and one of them is shapes. So, let's select shapes, and now we have a list of available spline or curve primitives. And the most basic one is a line, or an editable spline that is constructed out of control points. Just to demonstrate, if I click on Line, and then click in the top viewport, I'll create a single point, move my mouse around and click again to create another point. If I click and drag and hold the mouse down, I'm creating a point with a curve…
