- In this video, we are going to build a parametric stair.…But before we do, let's add on another room to this model…so that we can have a place to put the stair.…I am going to select this wall object…and go into wireframe mode…then go over to the Modify panel and expand the wall object…and go to the segment level.…Click on this segment, and you will see the whole thing…highlights in red.…Then come down here and change the number of divisions…to one and click the Divide button.…
What that does is it divides the segment one time,…leaving you with two separate segments.…So I'll click on this segment.…You can see, it is highlighted in red.…Let me zoom in a little more too.…And then I'm going to divide that with two divisions.…So I'll increase that and click Divide.…So now we have three segments over here.…I will select this center segment,…right-click and choose Move from the transform quad.…Then I will drag this over on the red axis like that,…then right-click and choose Scale…and hold the cursor over the y-axis and drag over here…
