Controlling particle parameters - RealFlow Tutorial
From the course: Learning RealFlow
Controlling particle parameters
- We've got particles coming out of the emitter. But there are far too few. We need to control the parameters in order to get a thick stream of particles coming out of that emitter. I'll select the emitter in the Nodes panel. And over in the Note params, we'll see two important sections, Particles and Circle. The Particles section is common to all of the different standard particle emitter types. And then, down here at the bottom, there will be a section that's unique to that emitter type. The most important parameter for particles is the Resolution. And this controls the number of particles that will be generated. And it sometimes needs to be turned up to very, very high levels. With a value of 1, we will barely see any particles come out. I'll press Simulate so we can see that. So we're getting just a few particles. Press Escape and then Reset, and that'll also rewind back to the start of the simulation. And then we'll choose a higher Resolution here. I'll set that to, let's say, 10…
