Choosing a workspace

- [Instructor] The very first time you launch 3DS Max you may see a window asking if you want the Classic or Design Standard workspace. I recommend the Classic workspace because that's what we'll be using in this course, but you can always change that later. Once you get past the first window you will get the 3DS Max interface and the welcome screen which is what we see here. I'm going to close that welcome screen, just click on the X in the upper right corner, and if you ever need to get that back you can find that in the 3DS Max menus under Help, Welcome Screen, and once you go back in there you have the ability to disable it at Startup, so I'll do that, tick off Show this Welcome Screen at startup. To change the workspace you have a pull down list in the upper right corner of the interface, and right now we're looking at the Default or Classic workspace. We can switch that out just by selecting a different workspace from this pull down list, for example we can choose the Design…
