Choosing a workspace
- [Instructor] The first time you launch 3ds Max, you may see a window saying that Arnold is the default renderer, and you'll need to click through that. Once you do, you come to this screen, which is the welcome screen, and it shows a few helpful tips. If you don't want to see that welcome screen, you can go ahead and close it by clicking on the X in the upper right corner. From that point forward, the welcome screen will still appear unless you turn it off, and we can do that by going into the menus. Right now, my display is a little bit truncated because I've got a limited resolution to my desktop. But I can go to the menus by clicking on this right facing arrow, and then go into the help menu, and go to the welcome screen once again, and then disable "Show this welcome screen at startup".
