Choosing viewport shading modes

- [Instructor] 3DS Max provides many options for shading in the viewports so that we can display our scenes in various ways. The most important distinction is between a shaded mode and a wireframe mode and you can see in the perspective view we are viewing the scene as if the objects were solid and that's the default shading mode and in the orthographic views, by default, we see a wireframe and we can see through the objects. We can change that display mode at any time from the viewport label menu here and on the far right, there'll be a menu that's labeled either default shading or wireframe and you can click on that and choose a different shading mode, so I can switch over to wireframe override in the perspective view and I can navigate around or I can switch back so I can go back to default shading. You'll see that there are bunch of other options in here for stylize rendering such as clay, but you probably won't use those very much, you'll just be switching between default shading…
