Camera setup
- [Instructor] Your imagery is created by render your scene through a virtual camera inside of 3D Studio Max. Understanding camera elements, such as which lens to use, depth of field, motion blur, and so forth, are key to creating the look for your renders. There are two kinds of camera that you can use in three Studio Max, a standard camera and a physical camera. Let's take a quick look at both of those. So in your view port, go ahead and select tools, layer explore, and let's go into the lights and cameras layer, and let's pick the camera standard. And that'll open up the camera settings in the modify command panel. Close the scene explorer by pressing X. You can see here that we're using a 15 millimeter lens. You can select different lenses, like a 28 millimeter lens is going to be a wider angle. We'll select the dolly to zoom in and see what that does. So you get a little bit more distortion. You can see that the way that the end cap looks is very different than the 15 millimeter.…
