Applying an OSL map and UVW coordinates
- [Instructor] Picking up from the last movie, let's also look at how to apply the new Open Shading Language maps which will eventually replace these General Maps. So I've got a General or Legacy Checker Map on my base color currently. Let's select that Checker Map and press Delete to remove it. And now there's no map applied and we see the base color showing through. We can add a map by dragging it over from Material Map Browser. We can also add a map by dragging out from the input to a particular shading parameter such as the base color. In some cases, we don't even need the Material Map Browser at all. And just to save space, I can close it. If I ever need to get that back of course, I can go to the Tools menu and reinstate Material Map Browser. To add a map to the base color of this physical material, I can simply click on the input to the base color and drag out, release the mouse and I get a popup menu from which I can choose a legal shading node to apply to that input.
