Adding lights to test smoothing and textures
Now that I have got containers imported in and cloning nicely, and I can vary them just by adding a different material on, I am going to put some other lights in the scene and then import my other objects. I'll choose GameObject > Create Other > Directional Light. This will be my sunlight. I am going to switch my Pivot over to Global and that way I can spin this around easily. I'll click and drag on the Y axis and pull this light into where I want it. I'm going to angle that sundown a little bit and I can pull it out of the way if needed. The light is essentially overshooting, catching everything in this scene. It doesn't really have a width as much as an intensity and a shadowing. It's working nicely and I can see the shine of my containers clearly. I'm going to put a floor in as well. I'll choose GameObject > Create Other > Plane. If you don't have a mesh that's actually a floor, a quick way to get around it to navigate is to put a plane in. I'll click on Plane and press R to Scale.…
