Learn how to manage assets with the File menu.
- [Instructor] The way we access file management commands…in 3DS MAX has been standardized to be more like…other desktop applications.…The old caption bar and application, or jewel menu,…have been removed and those commands have been absorbed…into a new menu which is just a traditional file menu.…As we saw in the previous movie,…we can go into the file menu for commands…such as to create a new scene from a template.…We'll also find, in here, important commands…to import or merge scenes,…to export as well,…to load in external references or X-refs…and also, most importantly, set a project folder.…
I'll go ahead and execute that by clicking on it…and in the Browse for Folder dialogue,…I want to navigate to the exercise files folder.…If you've got a custom folder that you want to use…for your project then you can access that…from this dialogue as well.…I'm going to go ahead and use the exercise files…from the course, which I've placed on my desktop.…I've got them here under Aaron F Ross, Desktop,…Exercise Files and click OK.…
