- Hi, my name is Kacie Hultgren, and welcome to Getting Started with MakerBot 3D Printers. 3D printing is a hot topic. Whether you are prototyping, or designing products, 3D printing is a great way to bring your ideas to life. In this course, we'll take a close look at the hardware setups for several MakerBot 3D printers, and I'll guide you through the process of printing an object. Then we'll look deeper into the slicing and printing process, and cover some basic troubleshooting, so you can keep your machine running smoothly.
This course is for those new to 3D printing, or those new to MakerBot 3D printers, no special skills are necessary. We'll cover everything you need to get started. My course, Up and Running with 3D Printing, is a great primer on 3D printing technology, and while it's not a pre-requisite for this course, it covers a lot of topics surrounding content creation for 3D printing, as well as other technologies that might interest you. Let's get started.
