Work with edge loops
- [Instructor] Another way to create more detail in your models is to use edge loops. We can use insert and offset edge loops to create additional detail in our models. So I'm going to go ahead and select this model and then let's go into edge modes. So we're going to right click, go into edge. As you remember, we can select what are called edge loops. So if I select one of these edges and double click on it I get a loop of edges. So I have that vertical loop. I have this horizontal loop and so on and I can also shift select to select multiple edge loops. And as you can see, these edge loops tend to define the outline and the detail of the model. So if we need additional detail we can create more edge loops. Now, one place where I need edge loops is right around here where we have the door of the object. So if I turn on my reference in my layers panel and hop out say to a side view and let's turn on x-ray, you can see…
