- [Dermot] Hello, I'm Dermot O'Connor. Welcome to Animating in 2D: Breakdowns and Thumbnails. In this course I'll show you one of the most important techniques that any animator can develop. That's the ability to plan scenes in advance by using thumbnails. This technique allow us to block in the scene's action and timing before we even touch a keyboard. In addition, by applying interesting actions on breakdown poses, the quality of the animation can be raised to a much higher level. So let's get started.
