Using material libraries
- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri. When you work with Unreal and materials, there's many times when you'll have standard types of materials and you'll want to save these out into what are called material libraries. And this will help speed your productivity. Now this can be very important when you import assets from other places. Last week we imported something from Maya and the materials really didn't come across. We can use materials to help augment that process. So let's go into our MayaImport folder. And I have that as blank. Now if we go into our ExerciseFiles folder, Maya, you'll see an object called Car_0307.fbx, and that's an export of a simple car. So let's go ahead and import that into Unreal. Now when I import this I want to make sure I check skeletal mesh, geometry only, and let's go ahead and import this.
