Using the HDRI Backdrop plugin

- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri. One of the best ways to get natural lighting in any sort of 3D or CG scene is to use HDRI images as a backdrop. And this is called image-based lighting. Now, we can do this in Unreal using a new plugin called HDRI Backdrop. Now, we can find it under Settings, Plugins. And if we scroll down here, you'll see under Rendering we should have HDRI Backdrop. Now, this is fairly new to Unreal. So I'm using 4 dot 23. Just make sure you have the most recent version of Unreal and you should see it. Now, if it's not enabled in your version of Unreal go ahead and click on enabled. And then you may have to restart Unreal to get it to go. So go ahead and do that if you need to do that. Now, once it's installed you will find it under Lights. So if we go into our Modes menu, under Lights we'll have HDRI Backdrop. And this is a very simple thing to use. All you have to do is left-click and drag.…
