- [Instructor] Hi there, today we're going to take a look at the various types of fog that are available to you in Unreal. Now fog's a great effect, it can provide distance cues, atmospheric effects, it's a really handy tool to use. Now there are a couple of different types of fog in Unreal and the first one we're going to look at is called exponential height fog. And, you probably have seen this before because it's the type of fog that Unreal will automatically put into a scene when you create it. So, it kind of hangs out in a lot of different scenes. So, let's take a look at this. Now exponential height fog is based on height, so it kind of hugs close to the ground. It's the type of fog that you will see in low lying areas. So, in things such as valleys and river beds and stuff like that. So, let's go ahead and just turn up that fog density and see what we get. So at .05, it's like this, but if we want, we can turn it…
