Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI)

- [Man] Hi, today we're going to take a look at Screen Space Global Illumination. Now this is a pretty new feature for Unreal. I'm using Unreal 4.24. Now Screen Space Global Illumination creates much more realistic and natural lighting, by adding dynamic, indirect lighting effects. Now that's essentially the bounce lighting. So, Unreal can now calculate bounce lighting or Global Illumination in real time. And it's actually a very simple thing to do. So let me show you very quickly how to turn it on. So let's go into Edit, Project Settings. And then if we want, we can scroll down to Engine, Rendering and we should find it here, Screen Space Global Illumination. The easiest way to find it is just type in Screen Space, and you should get it here under the lighting panel. Now I'm going to minimize this so we can kind of see the effect. Now we have a lot of lights in this scene, and when we switch this on, watch what happens.…
