Plotting arcs

- [Instructor] One thing that becomes really important when you animate a cycle is to make sure the arc patterns are really good. Now the arcs are always important, but with cycles, they're really important because you're looping this over and over again. So what I want to do is show you how I plotted arcs for this walk and this is an animation I did for my previous course on walk cycles. So some of you may be working in CGI programs for the plot arcs for you where you can switch on the various points of the body and you can see where the parts are coming from. Others might not. Other people might be working puppet systems that don't do that. So what I usually do, in that case, or if I'm drawing by hand, I'll put a clean sheet of paper, or a layer over the original animation and pick a point and then plot that point. And you'll see what I mean after this. So this is the contact pose and that's frame number one. So I'd simply draw a dot with the frame number on it and then I'd proceed…
