- [Instructor] In another movie, I spoke about how to animate in the style of the 1920s. And that was a time when they did opposing actions, but very little else. You know, they didn't have a lot of the other sophisticated techniques. That said, opposing action is really important and you can build an entire scene around it. So here is the basic example of opposing action. And in this scene, we have our character doing a little bounce. And if we go to the next panel, you'll see, as the hands move up in green, the head in orange or yellowish-orange, moves down. So that's our opposing action. One part opposes the other. And you can oppose left and right, you can oppose up-down, all kinds of different ways to have an opposing action. So let's take a look at how you go beyond this. How do we go beyond this to loosen up the scene? What the actual process of doing it. Now, what we're going to move on to now is overlapping the timing.
