Optimizing geometry load for VR scenes

- [Instructor] Optimizing geometry load for virtual reality scenes. Let's take a look at some tips and tricks for how we can optimize geometry for our virtual reality projects. One of the easiest ways, kind of a principle to adhere to, is make sure you work with quads, or work with quadrangulated models. And this is because there's a much bigger tool range for modeling, as well as UV tool sets. So the difference is this. If you're working with a quadrangulated model, your tool set is large, it's huge, in what you have up there to work with. Some of the best tools up there. A triangulated mesh, you are very limited in the tool set available. Laying out UVs, for example, on quads as well is much easier than laying out UVs on a triangulated mesh. At the end of the day, when it comes to bringing your mesh into a game engine, it's going to be triangulated automatically anyway. So there's no need to worry about doing that. Now that's not to say that when you're finished doing all of your…
