Opposing actions and counterpose
- [Instructor] Now we're going to look at opposing actions and counter pose. We look at counter pose first. Counter pose is a principle that you see in a lot of statues and renaissance art where you would twist the body, the hips and the shoulders relative to one another. And this is something that we do in animation. So here's the layers of showing these imaginary tubes. In an ideal scene they should be in some sort of twisting or torque next to one another. In this case, we have a very standard pose, any kind of counter pose here is very, very subtle. And then we go into the anticipation and then the down, and again, notice how they're very straight on to one another. We can definitely improve this. We do have a very nice counter pose here on the end pose. And some of this is a function of the fact that my starting pose is quite boring.
