Modify keys on the Timeline
- [Instructor] After you've created some animation in Maya you may need to edit your keys. Now we can do that in a number of different places but let's take a look at how to do that directly on the timeline first. So I have my object and if it is animating I can click on it and you'll see we have all of these keys on the timeline. If I want to change the timing of my animation I can do that in a couple of different ways. One is to simply cut and paste keys. So if I select this key here, I can right click over it. And you'll see, we have cut, copy and paste. Now I can do this for an individual key frame or a range of key frames. So if I want to, I can cut this. And that takes that key away off the timeline. You can see that my animation has changed but if I move to another frame, I can right click, hit paste. And that key frame comes back.
