- [Instructor] Let's make one last beauty pass over our scene in an attempt to give it that 1940s to 50s look and one technique of course that they loved in this period was the special effects or the effects, the smoke poof, somebody gets hit, smoke poof. Stick of dynamite goes off, smoke poof. So, these things are fundamentally built around a simple geometry, an expanding circle and then inside this circle, a hole opens up and you have a Taurus. Starts off like a doughnut, gets thinner and thinner, it's about the size of a ring, keep going, breaks up and dissipates. So, the timing pattern that you see here from frame one to 37 with dissipation around 37 to 41 or 43, that's on 24 frames per second. If you want to try this on 30, then pad these numbers a little bit. So, I'll show you now what this looks like in pure geometrical form.
