- [Instructor] Hi, I'm George Maestri. Today we're going to look at how to get from Maya into Unreal. Now a lot of people use Maya and getting into Unreal can be somewhat challenging. So, let's take a look at this simple object or this simple scene. Now this scene actually does have a lot of different objects if we go into our outliner in Maya, you'll see that my car body has a lot of sub objects so we have, you know, the hood and the grill and all that stuff is separate. And the same goes for the wheels. So I have separate rims and tires, for example. Now when you go into Unreal, all of these separate parts will go along and depending upon how you import it, you may get a lot of parts in Unreal. Now if you want to, you can select all of the objects and combine them so if I wanted to, I could select all of the car body and then just do a Mesh, Combine, and make it all one object.
