Creating material layers
- [George] Hi, I'm George Maestri. Unreal's new material layers is a great way to blend and mix multiple materials on an object. So, let's take a look at how to do this. Now, material layers does need to be turned on in Unreal. So, before you do anything, you got to make sure we have our settings set up. So, I'm going to go into settings, project settings. And under-engine rendering we want to scroll down and make sure that support material layers is checked on. If it isn't, you may have to restart Unreal. So, go ahead and make sure that's checked and let's get started. Now, we're going to build our materials in the materials folder. So, I'm going to double click on that and scroll to the bottom. And we're going to start off by creating what's called a material layer. So, we can right click and find materials and textures material layer. So, let's bring that in and let's give it a name. I'm just going to call it…
