Create material functions
- [Instructor] Hi I'm George Mystery. As you start to dive deeper into unreal, you'll realize that there is a lot of functions that you'll use over and over. And this is particularly true for materials. So let me show you a way to place commonly used material networks into what's called a material function. So I'm actually in a blank scene here, and in our materials folder, and I'm going to create what's called a material function. So if you right click on this, you'll see under materials and textures, we have a lot of different options here. And the one I'm going to create is called a material function. So I'm going to go ahead and create that and we going to use the default name and just double click on it. Now when I do it brings us into the material editor, and this allows us to create a subset of the material and then save that out and we use it.
