- [Instructor] Hello, I'm George Maestry. Getting a good glass material in Unreal can be a challenge so I'm going to show you a very simple way to get glassy surfaces in Unreal. So let's start off by going into our content materials folder and let's just create a new material. So I'm going to go right-click, material, and let's go ahead and name this glass and double-click on it. So now I have this in my material editor. Now when we have glass, we want to have both reflectivity as well as opacity. Now the opacity here is not turned on. I'm going to show you how to turn it on in just a second but before we do this, I'm going to show you the node that we will use to control opacity and that's called a fresnel node. So if I type in the name, F-R-E-S-N-E-L, you'll see we have a fresnel function. Go ahead and drag that into the scene. And just plug that into the base color channel.
