- [Instructor] There's a class of animation frame or drawing that you don't see it consciously, really, but you feel it. And these are usually the images that appear for one or two frames, and let's see a really classic example using the bouncing ball. So what's happening here is the ball gets dropped. It's slamming into the ground. You may be able to see the frame I'm talking about here. Let me stop this, and we'll just shuffle through frame by frame. And that's it, right there, the squash. Now you could ease out of that a little bit by having an in-between frame going from the squash into the shape here, but I wanted to show you this series so that you can see exactly what I mean. So if you want to play with this yourself, this is the series of frames that I used to create this action. And as you can see, frame 15 is the squash. 14 is a really extended breakdown, or you could even have that as a key frame itself.
