Understanding the 3D print settings
We've looked briefly at the 3D print settings previously, but let's take a closer look and see what else they can do for us. Now the 3D print settings work on whatever 3D objects are currently in the selected layer. So let's go to the Layers palette. And let's see we only have one layer in this Photoshop document. It's the bull head. So that's fine. So what we want to do is go to 3D > 3D Print Settings. So you'll notice that in this view, the object looks a little bit different. And that's because Photoshop is simulating what the material will look like after it's printed. It's a pretty crude simulation but you can kind of get a better sense of the way things are going to look. For example, the opacity that we painted before now has a crisp edge to it. So in this palette we begin the process of converting the 3D models into printable objects. The first setting I want to look at is Print To. The first option is Local.
